Women's Mental Health Therapy for Florida Residents
Online Therapy for Women in Florida
You are used to keeping things moving. The work, the family, the obligations, the emotions of everyone who depends on you. But at some point the weight of carrying all of it starts to show up in ways you cannot push through anymore. The anxiety that will not quiet. The exhaustion that sleep does not fix. The feeling that you have been so focused on everyone else that you have lost track of yourself entirely.
You do not have to keep doing it alone. Donna works with women using a trauma-informed, research-backed approach that addresses what is actually driving what you are experiencing, not just the symptoms. The work is built around your life, your history, and what you actually need.
Donna provides virtual sessions for women across Florida through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. If you have been searching for a therapist who understands what women carry, you are in the right place.
Therapy for Women in the Middle of a Major Change
Some changes arrive with clear grief attached. A loss, a divorce, an ending you did not choose. Others arrive quietly, a growing sense that the life you built no longer fits who you are becoming, or a milestone that leaves you asking what comes next.
Both are real. Both deserve space.
Therapy helps you make sense of who you are in the middle of change, process what you are grieving, and find your footing on the other side without having to figure it all out alone.
Therapy That Sees the Whole of What Women Experience
Women's experiences are layered in ways that a general therapist may not fully understand. Donna's work is built around the specific, real, and often unspoken things that women carry across every season of life.
Trauma and relationships. The patterns women develop in relationships often trace back further than the relationship itself. A childhood where safety felt unreliable. A dynamic that slowly eroded your sense of self. Habits of shrinking, over-giving, or staying quiet to keep the peace. Therapy helps you understand where those patterns came from and release what your body has been holding, so you can relate to others and to yourself in a new way.
Anxiety and depression. Women's anxiety often does not look like fear. It looks like hypervigilance, perfectionism, constant doing, and an inability to rest without guilt. Depression can look like numbness, disconnection, or simply going through the motions. Therapy gets underneath the surface so these patterns can begin to shift at the root.
Perimenopause and menopause. Hormonal shifts bring more than physical symptoms. Many women experience mood instability, identity questions, grief over the body they knew, and a surfacing of old wounds during this transition. You are not falling apart. Therapy helps you process what this season is asking of you so it becomes a chapter of clarity rather than crisis.
Reproductive health and identity. Fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, postpartum depression and anxiety, and decisions about your body carry emotional weight that often goes unacknowledged. These experiences deserve a therapist who will not rush past them or minimize what they mean to you.
Grief and loss. Loss takes many forms, and none of them follow a predictable timeline. You may be grieving a person, a relationship, a version of yourself, or a future you had counted on. Therapy holds space for all of it, including the grief that others do not always recognize or validate.
You do not need the right words. You just need to reach out.
An Approach Built Around You
Donna brings training in a wide range of evidence-based modalities so the work fits what you actually need rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Her practice draws from EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and Gottman's Model for couples work. If faith is a meaningful part of your life and you want it woven into your healing, faith-based therapy is available as well. It is never assumed or imposed, simply there for those who want it.
Donna holds specialized training in women's health through Harvard Medical School and is completing certification through SBHP (Star Behavioral Health Providers) to work with veterans and military service members. This fall she will add certification in Mental Health and Aging, deepening her ability to support women through every stage of life.
