Women's Mental Health Therapy for North Carolina Residents
Online Therapy for Women in North Carolina
For a long time, getting through the day has meant putting yourself last. Your needs, your history, your emotions, all of it gets set aside while you manage everything and everyone else. And now something is not sitting right. The anxiety is louder. The exhaustion runs deeper. The version of yourself you used to know feels harder to find.
You do not have to keep pushing through alone. Donna works with women using a trauma-informed, research-backed approach that goes beyond surface-level coping and gets to what is actually keeping you stuck. Sessions are built around your life and your experience, not a standard template.
Donna provides virtual sessions for women across North Carolina through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. If you have been searching for a therapist who understands what women carry, you are in the right place.
Therapy for Women Standing at a Crossroads
Not every transition announces itself. Sometimes it is a clear moment: a loss, a divorce, a diagnosis, a child leaving home. Other times it is quieter, a slow accumulating sense that the life you have been living no longer fits who you are becoming, and you are not sure what comes next.
Both deserve space. Both deserve support.
Therapy helps you process what you are moving through, clarify what you actually want, and find your footing on the other side with more steadiness and self-trust than you started with.
Therapy Designed Around Women's Real Experiences
What women carry is specific, layered, and often minimized in spaces that were not built with them in mind. Donna's work centers the full range of women's experiences across every season of life.
Trauma and relationships. Many of the patterns women struggle with in relationships, the over-giving, the people-pleasing, the difficulty trusting or being vulnerable, trace back to earlier experiences where those patterns kept them safe. Therapy helps you go back to where those patterns formed, release what your body has been holding, and begin relating to others and yourself in a way that feels more like who you actually are.
Anxiety and depression. Anxiety in women often shows up as hypervigilance, over-responsibility, and an inability to slow down without guilt. Depression can look like numbness, disconnection, or a flatness that is hard to explain. Therapy works at the root of what is driving these experiences so they can begin to shift rather than just be managed.
Perimenopause and menopause. This season brings far more than physical change. For many women it surfaces old wounds, identity questions, grief over the body and self they knew, and mood shifts that can feel destabilizing. You are not overreacting. Therapy helps you make sense of what this transition is bringing up so it becomes a season of clarity rather than one you simply endure.
Reproductive health and identity. Fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, postpartum depression and anxiety, and the complicated emotions that come with decisions about your body deserve real attention. These experiences are often minimized by others, and they deserve a space where they are not.
Grief and loss. Grief takes many shapes and follows no predictable path. You may be grieving a person, a relationship, a version of yourself, or a future that did not unfold the way you imagined.
Therapy creates space for all of it, at your pace, without pressure to move on before you are ready.
